Chippewa Valley Digital Inclusion Partnership (CHIPDIP)

The United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley and dozens of participating partners are working with ClearVision Eau Claire to foster civic engagement to ensure inclusion of all Chippewa Valley residents in the technological future. These meetings address issues of internet service, digital literacy, quality technical support and internet devices, applications and content that enable and encourage self-sufficiency, participation and collaboration. Individuals may face a number of roadblocks to full participation in the new digital age, but with the interest and efforts of a dedicated community, full inclusion is possible.

Our first three meetings took place on February 13th, March 14th, and April 11th in 2024.

We are examining in depth the particular issues of affordability, accessibility, security and trust, and education to find workable solutions with our collaborators. Action teams concentrating on those areas meet together to work on specific aspects of the problems and develop systematic, comprehensive solutions.

Past

Eau Claire County Poverty Summit

The Poverty Summit is the result of county-wide dialogues held in 2014 that identified issues related to poverty as a major concern throughout Eau Claire County.

This citizen-led initiative launched in October 2016. Since then, 300 people have joined the conversation about issues related to poverty and income insecurity in Eau Claire County. Some attended all sessions; some came and shared just one time; and others joined along the way. But every voice contributed, and the number of involved citizens continues to grow.

Action Teams
The Eau Claire County Poverty Summit is a safe, respectful and welcoming community conversation. People from all kinds of backgrounds and experiences have come together to participate, collaborate, join an Action Team, and make a difference.
